Health and lifestyle requirements for becoming an egg donor:
- Between 20-30 years of age
- Physically and psychologically healthy
- Have a normal/healthy Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Have both ovaries and regular menstrual periods
- Free of genetic disorder diagnosis
- Able to obtain up to date family history and health status
- No family history of inheritable genetic disorders
- Previous delivery preferred but not essential
- No smoking and no history of substance abuse

- To complete medical and psychological screening
- Willingness to use injectable medications
- Flexible schedule for appointments and traveling as needed

To become an egg donor in Ovumia Tallinn Clinic, you must complete the following steps:
- The first step of becoming an egg donor is fill out our Egg donor interview form. Please contact us for more information.
- Meeting with our donor coordinator, who will look your interview through and make sure there are no obstacles for your possible donation process in your medical history.
- The donor coordinator explains the whole egg donation process and you have a chance to ask questions.
- Meeting with our doctor, who will perform a general physical exam which includes a pelvic exam and cervical cultures.
- Blood tests which include screening for infectious diseases and carrier status for specific genetic diseases and reproductive hormone levels.
If the tests are negative, you will become an egg donor. The doctor will now make you a treatment plan and your donor coordinator will guide you through the whole donation process.
